Where is the HTML text editor on the new dashboard?

    Using the new dashboard, the editor that comes up for a new text post is the Visual Editor; there is no tab for a text editor as described on http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/

    If I switch to the classic dashboard, then the editor that comes up does have the “Visual” and “Text” tabs.

    Can you get the text editor with the new dashboard?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello there,
    I do have both the Visual and Text tabs on my blog. I’m not clear on what this new dashboard is at all so I’ll tag this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

    Hi @pinpointuncertainty,

    Are you referring to when you try to add a new post from the WordPress.com homepage as seen here?

    If so, currently, there is no Text Editor option on that New Post screen. You would need to go into your individual blog dashboard for that option. If that is something you would like to see added, could you post to the Ideas forum here:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas

    If not, please let me know a bit more about what you’re describing and I’ll troubleshoot further!
