Where is the list of individual upgrades and prices?
-
This seems like such a simple thing, but I keep getting directed to the page about the £70 a year upgrade or the business plan … all I want is the page showing a list of individual upgrades (more space, videos, no ads…) and prices. Help!
-
they are now hiding things and want you to buy a package – the individual upgrades are still available (at least for existing renewals) – but this Up-Sell is sending many customers away –
I have flagged this for the staff maybe they can help

This thread is tagged for a Staff response. I believe you can still go to the old Store pages for individual upgrades directly by using these links:
http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/ad-free/
http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/custom-design/
http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/extra-storage/ -
Hi there,
I see that you went ahead and purchased WordPress.com Premium, which includes all the features mentioned here: http://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/
You can also find all of the upgrades available for your blog on the Store page in your site’s dashboard here: https://goglobetrotting.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help!

@rachelmcr – your answer skips the question – the OP did not want a large package but probably bought the way more expensive package because they were desperate – many people are reporting that they are being up-sold or WordPress.COM is using bait and switch to sell a way more expensive package than they need
Is the Up-sell or bait and switch the new official WordPress.COM policy?

My more immediate question is whether that link to the store in the user’s Dashboard goglobetrotting.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php actually works for them so they can buy individual upgrades or whether they are rerouted to the New Dash Store where they are only presented with the Bundles?
But since they’ve already purchased the Premium Bundle, it may be moot.
-
Staff emailed me to say that you can now at least buy a custom domain and mapping without buying a bundle. So there must be a way to the page.
-
No, rain. I think you’ve since seen the forum threads that it’s now possible for new users to buy them via the New Dash.

I also posted about this on WPcomMaven http://wp.me/p1MwNN-vy
The reason why I’m asking whether that Dashboard link works is because the OP here signed up for WPcom a month ago, so I want to know who is considered a “new user”.

Hello
Fear not, I only took up the free trial offer for the premium bundle because I needed to get on with things and start trying things out while waiting for staff to actually answer the question! As noted – rachelmcr you have ignored the actual question. I very much do STILL want to view a list of all the individual upgrades. WHERE IS IT?
For those wondering – now that a premium upgrade has been activated (albeit temporarily), I can view even fewer options in the Store in my dashboard. It’s a disgrace. I can only few yet further upgrades to strip me of more money, or of course the next stage up, the WordPress Business upgrade.
Now that the trial period is up, I’ll be cancelling the upgrade. I would still like to purchase one or maybe two individual upgrades, but seeing as those are impossible to find, it looks like WordPress will be getting none of my money instead of some of it, because they are so greedy.

rootjosh answered this in another thread:
The only individual upgrades we can purchase for any new blog are:
http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/premium-themes/
http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/custom-domains/site redirects http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/
guided transfers http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/ -
Domain registration and mapping are the only individual upgrades available to new users. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-mapping-upgrade-8?replies=31#post-2068837
Themes will be available as they always have.
Site Redirect (and Guided Transfer) are available individually. However, they currently require staff assistance to purchase. In the near future, staff assistance will not be required. But for now, just point anyone looking for those two upgrades to a staff member.

@tt- According to info I received from Staff, those changes should affect users who signed up from the beginning of September. The OP signed up in August, so I believe they should see the individual upgrades in their Dashboard>Store>Store as Rachel gave the link above.
@goglobetrotting The reason you might not see individual upgrades may be because you signed up for the Premium trial and the majority of upgrades are already included in that Bundle. What happens if you cancel the Bundle? Do the individual upgrades reappear for you?

Hi goglobetrotting,
As noted – rachelmcr you have ignored the actual question. I very much do STILL want to view a list of all the individual upgrades. WHERE IS IT?
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to ignore your question. Since you currently have WordPress.com Premium, you won’t see all of the individual upgrades in that plan listed on your site’s Store page. (That’s because you already have them and don’t need to purchase them again.) These are the upgrades that are part of that plan:
If you don’t want that plan, you’re welcome to cancel it (or I can help you cancel it if you’d like). You’ll then find all the individual upgrades, in case you’d prefer to purchase them separately, listed on the Store page in your site’s dashboard here:
https://goglobetrotting.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php
Please let me know if you have any questions about that.
