Where is the photo credit field for custom image caption?

  Greetings, I’m BRAND NEW to WordPress, obsessing enjoyably for the past twelve hours or so. I’ll be replacing an old website with it once I get it fleshed out with static page content that articulates my services.

  I uploaded a custom header image in my chosen Twenty Eleven theme and want to credit the photographer but can’t find the field. Thanks very much for your help!

  And I mean where is the photo credit field or caption for a custom HEADER image? I’m trying to grasp what things are correctly called, too. Thanks!

  Use an editing software, such as Gimp or paint to add text to the custom header image before uploading onto WordPress.

  Greetings, noirciplume! I’ll show my tech-ignorance by asking how to get that captionless photo to you. Can I attach it here somehow? Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing offer to get me over this hump that’s both little AND big, as I want my amazing photographer friend credited…

  If you contact me through my blog and provide an image url link, that would be fine.

  A simple image url link can be obtained through imageshack

  I’m thinking I should ask my photographer friend first, and he’s is on a road trip right now. As he’s a pro he may have an important perspective on my linking to his photo through imageshack. (I don’t know the implications of doing that.) This could be a stupid concern on my part because I’m such a technical novice. Live and learn, right? And I will! But thank you VERY much again for your willingness to help me. I’ll be back to the forum with another novice question or two or three, probably before the end of the evening. Meanwhile thanks again!
