Where is the Plugin section?
-
I’ve been trying to locate where I could possibly upload a wordpress plugin to use on my wordpress.com site but don’t see any place that addresses plugins, however I see wordpress plugins all over the web, are those for wordpress.org only? Does wordpress.com not support plugins?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM doesn’t allow plugins. You’ll need to get WordPress.ORG if you want to use plugins.

Here are details about the differences between wp.com and wp.org:
http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/What do you want the plugin to do? There are lots of widgets and shortcodes here.
-
what if I want to add a pop-up window when users arrive at my site to get them to subscribe right away – do I require wordpress.org for that? or can I use my current wordpress.com site?
Thanks!

Thanks for the replies, well I wanted to add a swf file but the page editor always removes the embed code.

Yes, it is forbidden code, with the exception of some specific shortcodes. See: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
For a Flash workaround see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/gigya-shortcode-3-widgets/
