where is the Setting button?

I am feeling very frustrated. I cannot find the Settings button on my page. My posts to facebook have a security restriction I do not remember putting on.
Can you help me please?
Thanks,

Hi Tiera,
Your WordPress.com Sharing settings can be seen here:
https://tierastclaire.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=sharing
Are those the settings you’re referring to? Could you let me know specifically what’s happening at Facebook?
-
Thank you Jeremy! I still am not seeing how to change the settings…what is happening is that my blog posts onto facebook but I notice not many people respond. So I go to share it from my page and it has a notice that says it is limited in who can see it by its privacy settings.

Thanks for elaborating! Can you navigate to the following page?
https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=privacy
Let me know what you have set for this setting:
Also, navigate to this page:
https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
Click “Show All” to expand the list of apps. Hover your mouse over WordPress and click the pencil icon to edit it as shown here:
Can you let me know what it says under “App visibility and post audience”?

Thank you Jeremy!
I have done all that and changed the audience to Public.
The remaining question I have is..why was this so convoluted? I would really love to be able to find the settings and just do what I want to do.
I asked a friend who is very well versed in WordPress and she was surprised I did not have a Settings button visible.
Is there something amiss with my sight?
I really do appreciate your time and help and attention :)

Hi Tiera,
Jeremey is out over the weekend so I’m grabbing a few of his tickets.
That setting is not one that we control, it’s one of Facebook’s security features. It allows Facebook users to make sure that content which they post is not shared with people that they don’t want it to be. When you first connected to Facebook you’re given the option of who you want your posts to be shared with and as you’ve now seen, if you want to change that setting afterwards it can be a bit of a pain.
In regards to your other question, you can get an export of all of your content by following the instructions right here:
This creates an xml copy of your site which you can then use to import in to most modern CMS’ (such as self-hosted WordPress.org sites, Blogger, SquareSpace, etc). It’s important to note that your images are not included in this file, instead when you do the import your new site will go and fetch the images. This is totally normal and built in to the system, but I did want you to be aware.
