Where o where have my widgets them gone?

Hi newbie here…I was trying to set up my blog by selecting widgets for the front. I had previously selected a theme and changed it and when I went into the widget selection I was not able to select them for the new theme. Nor can I retrace my steps so that I can reselect them. Where did they go and how do I get them back so I can use them?

Yes, it’s linked now.
As for the widgets – most themes have a default set of widgets. Once you add a widget, the default set disappears. To add widgets, go to Appearance > widgets in your dashboard. If for some reason you cannot select the widgets, try going back to your old theme, removing all of the widgets, then change to your new theme and add them back in.

I think I just sent in a request to help me with my Spring Widget which I thought I set up to retrieve several pieces I have written. When the widget asks for email address and to copy the code, I did all of that, click on to go forward and then it tells me there is an era. I retrace everything but to no avail. I have my kennybeck.wordpress.com blog here, which I still really haven’t learned to implement properly here yet (in the Blogroll section I want to edit the use of my name and categories but I can’t seem to find out how or even how to access it. Can you just simply direct to where I cab find instructions of any kind for these two big problems or offer any assistance? Thank you and have a Merry Christmas!
