WHERE TO ADD NEW THEME?

  I have a web host…. connected from wordpress… I don’t get why anywhere on my Dashboard I’m not able to find anything regarding Adding a new theme. They make it seem so easy but I’ve been searching the past hour.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  For sites hosted on WordPress.com, you can add themes here: https://wordpress.com/design/.Or browse here and click the activate button at the top to add to your site: https://wordpress.com/themes/.

  Or for WordPress sites hosted elsewhere (and running your own install of WordPress, which is different than what you have here at WordPress.com), you can add themes under Appearance > Themes.

  Hello Sarah,

  As I want to add new theme I go under Appearance -> Themes but there is no “Add new theme” button over there :(

  @thomasjdp — Hi. For sites hosted here on WordPress.com, you can add themes here: https://wordpress.com/design/. Or browse here and click the activate button at the top to add to your site: https://wordpress.com/themes/. The themes approved for use here are all included there, and uploading an outside theme is not possible.

  If you’re in wp-admin (https://thomasprudhommedotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/), you can find themes under Appearance > Themes, however there won’t be a button to upload an outside theme, only the available options are listed.

  If you browse the themes and have any questions about one or are looking for a certain feature, let me know and I’ll see if I can suggest some options. :)
