Where to enable/disable likes?
-
If someone would be so kind as to answer the following questions, I would really appreciate it. :-)
1. How does a blogger enable/disable the like option?
When I googled this, I got: https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/#turn-likes-onoff-on-specific-posts-or-pages
Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be accurate any more.
2. Besides the stats page, where can I see the number of likes? i.e. shouldn’t they show up on each blog?
3. Is the only place I can see who likes my blogs my email?
4. Where are the like icons on other blogs? (I’m gonna feel really silly if they are sticking out like a sore thumb, lol, but I apparently just don’t know what I’m looking for.
Thanks to all who took the time to read and respond. :-)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I also noticed something else you need to correct ASAP.
All reasons for non-appearance of posts on Topics pages can be found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
The combined total of categories and tags on any post must not exceed 15 or it will not display on Categories and Tags pages and in the WordPress.COM Reader. As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 relevant Categories/Tags to your posts so you need to edit and delete. You have also used the same keywords and keyword phrases as both categories and as tags so you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal of the excess categories and/or tags and duplicates note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.
You are are inadvertently spamdexing AKA tag spamming, you ought to be more concerned about your posts not appearing and being well ranked on Google and Bing SERPS (search results pages) than not appearing on the WordPress.com Topics pages because it’s search engines that send a significant flow of traffic to blogs and they can choose to bury your content where the sun don’t shine for that.
The rule of thumb is to assign to your posts the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the individual post content.

@mindfulmomentsmeditation thanks, we’ll update that article. You can find the likes option under Advanced Settings for each post.
2. and 3. You’ll see the number of likes on each post if you have likes enabled for that post.
4. It does depend on whether they have likes enabled, but generally they’ll be just below the post like yours are. You can also typically “like” an article directly from the reader. I hope that helps!

timethief, thank you for your help with this. I scrolled to the bottom of the first link and found the like icons for the comments, but still don’t see where anyone has liked the blog, even tho several have according to my stats page & my emails. And I did check a couple of my followers’ blogs and can see the like icons in the comments sections, but not for the blog itself. I’m sorry if it’s there & I’m just not seeing/recognizing it.
As you can probably already tell, I a total newbie to the world of blogging and I’m not sure I understand everything you explained. I know nothing about tagging and never heard of spamdexing. It certainly wasn’t my intention to do anything inappropriate. I honestly don’t have a clue as to the difference between tagging & categories. So, I appreciate the link to tagging tips & will read it and then edit my tags & categories accordingly.
You said, “you ought to be more concerned about your posts not appearing and being well ranked on Google and Bing SERPS (search results pages) than not appearing on the WordPress.com…”
Are you referring to what I said about googling in my first question? If so, I was googling information on how to enable/disable the like feature because I couldn’t find the answer when I searched wordpress help. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear about that. I haven’t googled my blogs. I hate to admit this, but I am also not sure what you meant by “All reasons for non-appearance of posts on Topics pages can be found here.”
Again, I am very grateful for your responses and the links & will do my best to educate myself by reading the links you provided. :-)

supernovia, thank you for your help. I must be blinder than a bat, lol, but while I see the settings option on the left side of my site page, I am not seeing an advanced settings option. I must not be looking in the right place. So I still cannot see if I have likes enabled or not. I hate being such a dummy. :p)
I truly appreciate your help with this.

supernovia, I found the advanced settings. It only appears when I am in edit mode. At first I didn’t even notice it as I was editing the tags & categories in my blogs. It was only when I went to edit my about me page, that I saw it. I think it would help to note that in the help section. :-)

timethief, that’s a great link to the tips on tagging. From that link, I was able to find more links to wordpress info which was also very helpful. :-)
