where to find css files
-
serious newbie question here, but where can I find the css files for the ‘healthy living’ theme that I am using? I need to know what the unique identifier is for the primary menu – trying to a plugin to make that menu ‘sticky’ on my site. Any help would be very appreciated!

Hi there, I use the web inspector built into my browser to find the relevant CSS. If you are not familiar with the web inspector in your browser, take a look at our support page on How to Find Your Theme’s CSS where you will find some brief screencasts to get you started with it. I find it an invaluable tool when working with CSS.
If you have any problems, let me know what the plugin is looking for and I can help you out.

Hi,
The id is menu-primary. You need to right click on the menu and select Inspect and look for a panel at the bottom of the screen to view the same.
The panel will show the HTML for the element you clicked as well as all the CSS that applies to it. You can click on different HTML elements in the panel and then look at the CSS on the right to figure out what CSS can be copied into your Appearance > Customize > CSS panel to make design customizations on CSS.
Please find below more information regarding the same.
Browser’s developer tools
For Firefox, use the Firefox Developer Tools. Take a look at introductory videos for the Developer Tools built into Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer to help get you started.Hope that helps.
Thank you.

thank you both! I didn’t know the web inspector existed within my browser – once I enabled it, it worked perfectly!
