We cannot access metadata on any wordpress.com hosted blog and insert anything into the <header> at all. So yes was the answer to my question above:What do you mean by verification?

This meta tag is on pinterest.com on my business profile. It tells me to verify my website simplify.net so I can link the two.
Once I get on my dashboard on simplify.net, I don’t know where to go to add the meta tag to the head of my index.html file?
