Where to put template text

  I can’t find this in the tutorial or by search: what would be the best place in the template to insert information that doesn’t quite fit into the header or any other predetermined category? The specific information I’m thinking of is the copyright notice for a reference source that is cited frequently in posts, just as a traditional book’s copyright page might say, “Unless otherwise specified, all Bible verses quoted within are from the XYZ translation.”

  Unfortunately, templates cannot actually be modified at WordPress.com.

  Widgets can be modified, and of course anything offered in theme options, but not the actual template files.
