where to report a faulty link
-
Hi, tonight I clicked on a link of one of my followers to see what she posted recently, and a totally different kind of website came up. It was a dating site with suggestive photos of women, offensive. I have let the follower know privately as I am sure she is not aware of it, her blog is real nice. What can be done for her, I am sure it must be a faulty link or a bug or something.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your friend needs to contact her web host directly. If and only if her site is hosted by wordpress.com she can email Staff at
help@wordpress.com
or
support@wordpress.com -
The blog I need help with is NOT gaiainaction.wordpress.com it is another blog altogether.
Many thanks -

P.S. What you are describing sounds like a site that has been hacked.
If anyone is posting anything to your friend’s blog or removing anything from it, or changing anything in it, or if her blog has been deleted, and she did not delete it, or if the site link has been redirected to a porno site, for example then it’s most likely that blogger has provided the hackers with the ability to do so, either deliberately by adding them as official users, or by allowing them access to her login information, or by posting content that makes it easy for them to guess what her log-in information is.
She ought to go to her email program immediately and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs.
She ought to change her blog password as well to a completely different one than the one used for her email account or for any other online accounts she has.
She also needs to run a security scan on her computer http://geekflare.com/online-scan-website-security-vulnerabilities/

HI Timethief, thank you. Yes her blog is hosted by WordPress.com.
Have your friend read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/
Change her blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
She can also reset your password via your Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:
http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/More advice: Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.
Use two step authentication http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/ for mobile access.
Never leave your computer logged into your blog and walk away from it. Always log out properly.
P.S. Staff have records of who did what under which username and login information and when they did it. When your friend emails Staff they will assist her off this public support forum that everyone with internet access has access to.
