Where to start

  Sorry, but I am looking for where to start to learn how to build my own webpage and I don’t understand anything listed in the FAQs. So, I am clearly way out of the loop. I was referred here as a result of my interest in building a simple business webpage – which I plan to upload eventually to a webhost. It doesn’t appear that this may be the correct place for this, but several people assured me that it was. If so, I’d appreciate a place to start this process. Sorry I haven’t been able to figure it out yet. I’m very confused. Thanks.

  your in the wrong forum. Here at wp.com the software is different because wp.com use a multi user platform you’ll want to direct your question over at http://wordpress.org/support/

  If you want to host WordPress yourself on a web server, WordPress.org is the place for you. If you just want a blog without having to worry about web hosting and installing servers, try this:
