wheredo I add plugin to Adelle theme?

I’m using Adelle and would like to add a Mailchimp widget. Mailchimp says I should go to ‘plugins’ on my dashboard and click Add New. But I looked at everything on my dashboard and there is nothing called Plugins. What am I missing? (I’m a pretty naive user – sorry – hope you have time to help)

Installing plugins on a WordPress.com site is not possible, and there is no upgrade which will make it possible. WordPress.ORG sites are completely different than .COM sites/blogs.

WordPress.com has several built-in plugins, which you can see here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins

However, there is still a way to connect your MailChimp form with your WordPress.com blog. MailChimp provides a link to any signup form you create, and you can add this to your WordPress.com site by:

1. going to Appearance–>Widgets in your WP Admin.
2. Add a Text widget,
3. Name the widget anything you’d like
4. Copy the URL of the MailChimp form
5. Paste it in the text widget with this code: The Signup Link!
6. Click save.
