Where's my blog and dashboard?
-
Got a virus on my computer 3 months ago. Just got a new laptop and I have a huge problem. Havn’t posted on my WordPress blog since then. My URL site comes up fine. The problem? I can’t find my log in and dashboard information to start blogging again. It says that I have no blogs.
I see WordPress has changed since I was last on, but what gives? I though maybe my log in info may be incorrect, but that’s not it. Any suggestions? I’m at a loss and pretty freaked out!
Thanks!

Yes the WordPress.com dashboard has changed when the upgrade took place > read about it here > http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2011/05/19/just-write/
It’s the email address you register a username at WordPress.com with that becomes your unique identifier. If you use that email address when you reach the login page then you can click lost password and reset your password.

I’m sorry but that site linked to your WordPress.com username is not a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM so we cannot help you with it. WordPress.COM blogs and wordpress.org installs operate on different code. The correct support forum to get support for that blog is here > http://wordpress.ORG/supportFor more clarity please read the sticky post at the head of this forum

Or the summary provided by Staff in the support documentation. -
Still doesn’t seem to be working… I changed my password, but it’s like I’m starting from scratch again.

Lucky me! Went to a link to moderate a comment and it got me back to my blog log in! I need to go buy a lottery ticket! Thanks for the help!

@annmariekostyk
I’m so glad you resolved this. Hopefully it won’t be an ongoing issue for you. Note that the email for the password change confirmation probably landed up in your email spam filter. :)
