Where's my most recent blog?

Okay, I’m frustrated. My blog often doesn’t show the most recent post. It’s like it dissapears and the version from months ago is the only one showing in my dashboard. But then all of a sudden, my new blog shows up and the old ones are no where to be seen. My new blog isn’t consistently gone, just lost in some black hole (or so it seems!) So, firstly…where’s my newest version of my blog (which has a static home page, btw) and secondly, how can I safely get rid of the old versions so they don’t show up? (I’m afraid to touch any setting for fear of losing my latest version), Please help me soon as a potential job is at stake.
