Where's my portfolio link?

I’ve done a portfolio but it won’t appear on the main page. Nor can I put it as a menu item. How can I access it from the blog?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I can see the Portfolio category page menu item on your blog. But it seems you haven’t created the actual page so it says Nothing Found.

You only created the menu item.

The menu item is a category… when I go on the menu options, it doesn’t show “portfolio” to add. I was trying to create a category named portfolio, but then I won’t need the “portfolio” feature at all… What is it for?

  • Do you have a category named “portfolio” ?

I did not quite get the last part. Could you elaborate? Thanks.

Sure. Thanks for trying to help!
I created a category named portfolio. If I use it as my portfolio, I won’t need the feature portfolio…
I have posted one portfolio on the portfolio feature (and not on the category ‘portfolio’) and you can’t see it on the blog. I didn’t find a way to make it appear on the blog yet :/

Sorry, I don’t understand what do you mean by “portfolio feature”.

I checked the Pictorico theme page but I can’t find anything like “”portfolio feature”.

  • Ah, now it is clear. You are have Portfolios enabled.

I created a category named portfolio. If I use it as my portfolio, I won’t need the feature portfolio.

You can disable Portfolio feature by turning it off from Settings > Writing > uncheck Enable checkbox next to Portfolio Projects at the end of this screen.

You need to first create a Project Type from the Portfolio > Project Types screen. Now go to Portfolio > All Projects > Edit your portfolio project. Select the previously created Project Type and update the project. This is similar to how you set a category for a post.

Now go to Appearance > Menus. Expand the Project Types and select the available project type and click Add to Menu. Then click Save Menu.

Refresh your blog and you will now see the new menu item pointing to the Portfolio project type.

Hope it is clear now. Please feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Thanks for bringing this issue up. I have never used Portfolios earlier so I learned something new :-)
