Where's my post gone

  I’ve written a post but it has disappeared

  Does it appear in Dashboard->Posts? The most likely thing is that it is still in draft form and not yet published.

  tandava 108 I’m a newbie and struggling to find my way. I had a draft which was published before I was finished. I opened it in edit and finished it and then it disappeared. I can only find the version in revisions from before I finalised it. Did I lose it as I can’t see it anywhere ?

  This is grabbing at straws but sometimes if you have a post open for edit in two browser windows (or tabs) an earlier version gets saved over the latest.

  Go to Dashboard->Posts and edit your post. You will see a panel at the top right marked “Screen options” – just below the black toolbar. Select this and check the “Revisions” checkbox. You will now see all the revisions. You can click to view these and if a previous version has what you want you can restore it.

  Tried that it seems to have gone. I was sure I saved it but obviously in my eagerness to finish it I deleted it.
