Hi Ed,
It looks like you have the Custom Design upgrade successfully enabled on your blog. In order to enable the custom fonts, please follow the instructions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/
Let me know if you run into any trouble!

Thanks, Jeremey:
I have been able to access the fonts. But I am unable to change the color of the headers. The main one with the site’s title, which previously was changable, is now only changable through adjusting the overall palette. While the post, and page, headers remain the original grey no matter what I do. Is there a fix for this?Best, Ed

Yes! You can adjust the color of any area of your site using Custom CSS. Here’s a snippet of CSS code that should adjust the title of your blog posts and the widget areas:
h1.entry-title a { color: #9E0041; } .widget-title { color: #9E0041; }Just click on Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> CSS and place this code in the field.
Is that what you were looking for? Are there any other areas of your site you were looking to adjust?

HI Jeremey:
Although the widget color was changable through the code that you sent me. I didn’t see any effect from the H1 code you sent me. Specifically what I want to change is the light grey color (which I find somewhat unreadable) that appears on all the text that is typed into the top boxes when you do a post or a new page and then appears as a headline or a link. For example on the top of the front page of the site where it says “WHY WE NEED TO KEEP BALTIMORE INEXPLICABLE!” and “FREDERICK DOUGLASS AND FRANCIS SCOTT KEY HAVE PUT ASIDE THEIR PAST DIFFERENCES ON NATIONAL POLITICAL ISSUES, TO URGE YOU TO KEEP BALTIMORE INEXPLICABLE!” Also since I purchased the upgrade, I have been unable to change the color on the overall site title on the custom header. If you can access my dashboard and go to that tab you will see the color I intended, whereas I am getting some kind of preset related to he overall color scheme.
Thanks, Ed -
Hey Ed,
Currently, it looks like the h1 CSS changed the color of the blog titles to #9E0041 as shown here:
Is that the text you’re referring to? I also added a snippet of CSS to change the static color of the blog titles. Here’s the code for reference:
h1.entry-title { color: #9E0041; }Does that match what you’re looking for?
Regarding the Custom Header, your site title is currently showing up as the same color as the entry titles as shown here:
Can you let me know what color you would like it to be?

Hi Jeremy: it’s strange — In Chrome, the blog post titles did not change to the color you showed me in your screen shot. They remained the same grey as before. However the individual page heads and widgets did change. Then I entered in another color code and they changed again. However when checking on Firefox, I can see all the color changes including the blog posts. Also when I go incognito on Chrome I can see the changes. Is this one of the cache clearing things? The color I wanted for my site title was #531699.
Thanks, Ed -
Hey Ed,
I added another line of CSS to change the site title. Let me know if this is what you’re looking for. You can also copy the hex code and change the others if you would like.
Regarding the appearance in browsers, it sounds like a cache issue. Can you try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies? Instructions can be found here:
en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

Yes that was the color. There are some things I’m going to have to make sure I have before I clear the cache. Are you sure it’s the cache when all the other changes are visible?
Thanks, Ed -
Hey Ed,
It could also be loading speed. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, I’ve noticed the background image slows down how quickly the Custom CSS loads. However, you should be able to clear the cache without any repercussions. That seems more likely to be the problem if the blog is displaying correctly in an incognito window and in Firefox.
Let me know if you need any additional help making the changes you want!

Jeremy: I recently tried to add the no-ad upgrade. This was processed and charged as a Premium upgrade. When I sought a refund, WP knocked out my previous design upgrade. But as far I can tell is not refunding it. And anyway i would like to keep it. Is there anything you can do?
Thanks, Ed
-
Hi Ed,
When you purchased the Premium bundle, the Custom Design upgrade was removed since it’s part of the bundle package. Then, when you cancelled the bundle and refunded it, the whole bundle was removed not leaving the previous Custom Design behind. I’ve re-added the Custom Design to your site as shown here:

Let me know if you need anything else!
