Where’s the classic editor?
-
I just got a message that WP changed to this new nightmare called ‘Block Editor’ but that the Classic Editor would still be available, except it’s not. I don’t want a ‘classic block’ inside the disastrous ‘Block Editor,’ just the Classic Editor. Is that option no longer available?

Hi folks, there is a change in navigation being rolled out on WordPress.com. You can read about this here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/unified-navigation/
If your account has been switched and you used to access the Classic Editor through WP Admin, you’ll need to turn on the Advanced Navigation in your Account Settings>Dashboard Appearance to access the Classic Editor.
The Classic Editor is currently available, but in the long run, you’ll want to give the full Block Editor or the Classic Block a workout. The more you use it, the easier it will become. WordPress.com also published a guide specifically for writers and bloggers that you can find here https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor-for-writers-bloggers/
