which code to remove a widget?
-
Not to be confused with difficulties removing widgets on the appearance/widgets page, my problem is that I have a widget that comes by default with a theme and does not come with any option to remove it.
If anyone’s up for pointing me in the right direction, the site is as below, and the troublesome widget is titled ‘Recent post’. I’m hoping to delete it completely so the one below (‘Skin care range’) will pop up to takes its place.

I’m guessing the solution may have something to do with modifying recommend_post.php but my knowledge level only really goes as far as adjusting settings from within the dashboard. However I’d be happy to try stripping out the appropriate code if anyone can help me identify it.
thanks very much
