Which is better when naming your blog?

  I’m asking for SEO purposes. Is it true that the one with dashes
  will get picked up easily by the search engines?

  You cannot use dashes or underscores in the URL’s here at wordpress.COM.

  Sacredpath is correct. I have just signed up and when naming your blog and choosing your username you may only use letters and numbers.
