Which plan to buy?

I wanna do a trial in making a website where I can sell products online, and have users login to reach the paid product. Which plan do I buy and where do I set this up? Which is the best deal? I need to be able to post videos and have users upload them to the administrator as well.

Is e-commerce a plugin ? Cuz Premium also says it’s “monetized”.
I’m just starting out with a small business idea. I’ve not made the site yet and i’ve created no product. I wanna do this as a kind of trial. Any way to do this without committing to a 36$ / month plan for a year? I need to see if I like it, can do what I need first before putting down 500$ for a year subscription. I’ve never made a wordpress site. I have no experience. Please tell me there is a way to experiment without paying 500$.

“monetized” doesn’t mean it allows you to set up an online store. With Premium you can monetize your site by earning income from advertising or you can sell single products via the Simple Payments Button, along with the other options mentioned here:
But to have a fully integrated online store you will need an ecommerce plugin like WooCommerce, and that is only possible in the Business Plan.

For that you will need a membership plugin as well. WooCommerce has a membership extension you can add, but there are other plugins as well that will give you this functionality.

To allow visitors to submit/upload videos will also require a plugin, as on basic WordPress.com only authors, editors and admins with dashboard access can upload media files.
