Which plan to purchase?

I’m trying to figure out which plan to purchase…
I have Genesis, does this affect what plan I need?
Also, if I purchase a plan and then decide I want to upgrade to a higher priced plan in a few months, does my payment go towards the higher priced plan? Or will I need to wait until the year is up?
Lastly, if I want to sell products on my site, do I need the Premium plan or can I do it with the Personal? (I don’t plan on monetizing using ads on my website.)The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It sounds like there might be some confusion between WordPress.com (here) and the self hosted version of WordPress.
This guide outlines the differences between WordPress.com and the self hosted version of WordPress: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Genesis is not used on WordPress.com. Plugins are a feature only supported with the self hosted version of WordPress. Upgrading your WordPress.com plan will not affect a self hosted site, or a plugin.
I recommend reading over the Getting Started materials on the left of the WordPress.org support page: https://wordpress.org/support/ This is also where you’d go for help if you have a self hosted site.
As for creating an eCommerce site, you would need to have a self hosted site to do this with WordPress. Check out WooCommerce: https://woocommerce.com/
On WordPress.com we offer PayPal buttons, but this isn’t truly the same as an eCommerce site.
