Which plugin combinations are best for this….
-
Hi all, I’m after plugin suggestions for the following scenario:
- The ability to sell tickets online to an annual festival. Payment via cards and Paypal. About 6000 people.
- The ability to PDF and email those tickets to the purchasers
- The ability to scan those tickets and check people in in person using an app
- The ability to add the ticket purchasers to a mailing list and email them throughout the year WITHIN WordPress (ie. no Mailchimp integration)
- The ability to offer vouchers/promo codes and control when they are used
- The ability to issue refunds through the same tool
- Ease of use to adjust prices of the same products from year to year, instead of having to recreate/copy products.
- Integration into WooCommerce if necessary
- Integration into Elementor is preferred but not essential

For your festival scenarios, the most robust and seamless combination is FooEvents for WooCommerce paired with MailPoet.FooEvents sits on top of WooCommerce to handle the sales, payments (PayPal/Stripe), and voucher codes while automatically generating branded PDF tickets with QR codes that are emailed to attendees. Crucially, it offers a free, dedicated “FooEvents Check-ins” app (iOS & Android) that works reliably for scanning 6,000+ attendees in person without hiccups. For your communication needs, MailPoet is the perfect companion because it runs entirely inside your WordPress dashboard (no external Mailchimp account needed) and deeply integrates with WooCommerce, allowing you to easily filter and email “customers who bought the 2026 Festival Ticket” directly. Since this stack relies on standard WooCommerce products, you can effortlessly adjust prices year-to-year or issue refunds via the standard order screen, and FooEvents offers dedicated Elementor widgets to ensure your ticket pages match your site’s design perfectly.
