Which Plugins can I have on wordpress.com
-
Hey friends,
I’m sick and tired of code fumbling, plugin conflicts, server downtimes etc. So I’m highly interested in moving all my current and future web projects to wordpress.com.
My pre-sales question is about plugins.
I fully understand, that for good reasons it is not possible to install own plugins on wordpress.com.
However when I look at
https://wordpress.com/plugins/browse/coachcs.wordpress.com
i see a plugin paradise to choose from.
So my question is whether I can install and use all these wonderful plugins when I upgrade to a premium or business plan.
Are there any hidden costs when using certain plugins?
Thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy coachcs!
We have good news for you, just recently WordPress.com has allowed installing Plugins
You will have to have a Business Plan
In the Plugin Support document you can read that it’s now possible to install them, however if some plugins are not ready for WordPress.com the plugin author needs to implement, also additionally you will have Live Chat Support with the Business Plan to face any challenges.
Hope this helps, let us know for any further assistance..! -
Awesome news, pavanraheja!
Is this limited to the plugins listed on
?
On https://wordpress.com/plugins/browse/coachcs.wordpress.com
I see lots of more.
E.g. the WP-Members Plugin which I cannot find on the list on
-
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ are the default plugins available to everyone using WordPress.com, even with the free plan.
If you click on any of the hundreds of Plugins that now appear at https://wordpress.com/plugins/browse/ you’ll see a link saying that you need to upgrade to the Business plan to take advantage of them.
