Which port number do I need to use to upload my site to WordPress from Sandvox(web design program)? I have all the information I need to upload my site except for the port number.

Hi there. You cannot upload a website created in a web design program to WordPress.com as we don’t have any FTP access or user-installed plugins and themes here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/

http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/The only way to import content is via an XML file import, and that only applies to content and media files, not themes, base files or customizations: http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
To upload a website you built yourself using WordPress you’ll need to buy your own domain and hosting and install the WordPress.ORG software to that domain. See here for more information: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Hi there. My blog is igamotylska.wordpress.com blog. I’ve bought a different domain name and hosting with a wordpress-managed host. They require Host location or IP Address, and FTP username and password to migrate my current blog? Please can you assist, despite my efforts I’ve gotten nowhere. I found a WordPress post that said ‘contact support’ for IP address, but it just redirected to the forums page. Much appreciated.

P.S I have downloaded all my content via the ‘export’ feature, but require that IP address, since I gather that WordPress doesn’t support FTP transfers. Thank you.

Your WordPress.com website cannot be exported to another host. Only your content can.The support doc on IP addresses refer to when you’re trying to merely map your WP.com blog to a domain registered outside WP.com without changing your hosting itself. If you are speaking of mapping a domain, rather than setting up a self-hosted site, let me know.
If you’re trying to set up a self-hosted site you’ll need to download and install the WordPress.ORG software to your new webhost and import your content to that website. For help with that see here: http://wordpress.org/support/

Yes, I have downloaded WordPress.org and have manage to import my content (step 1), but it asks me to assign an author (step 2), I have tried my old username but it just freezes, the page goes blank and nothing happens for 30 minutes. I have also tried creating a new username, but the same think happens. Please advise, thank you very much.

Hi, I am trying to add my custom email address created here to my gmail account, so that I could reply with this custom address. To configure mail to be sent through floreo-agrotech.com SMTP server, it requires name of the server and the port number. By default, SMTP Server is given as smtp.floreo-agrotech.com; secured connection using SSL port 465 or TSL port 587. But these did not work. Please help. Thank you.
