  yes, the second screenshot is from the https://wordpress.com/settings for weatherforecastsolutions.wordpress.com.

  Hm, under your account, I see a Delete option, not Disconnect at https://wordpress.com/settings/general/weatherforecastsolutions.wordpress.com

  Would you like me to just go ahead and delete weatherforecastsolutions.wordpress.com ? Please note that this cannot be undone after 30 days.

  That is what I was saying… that there is no “disconnect” or “remove” option available, only a “delete”. Once this site is deleted, will it allow me to reconnect the correct site to the same jetpack username and email address?

  If so, then please go ahead and delete the weatherforecastsolutions.wordpress.com.

  If not, will the other option I previously presented work? As a reminder, this other option I quested was to just change the username and email address in the weatherforecastsolutions.wordpress.com site, THEN delete it. Not sure if you saw it, but I had asked earlier if this would be a viable workaround and essentialy still allow me to connect to jetpack with the original username and email address.

  Ok, if you delete https://weatherforecastsolutions.wordpress.com/ it will be gone forever (after 30 days).

  This will have no effect on https://weatherforecastsolutions.com/

  You can connect https://weatherforecastsolutions.com/ to your wxforecastsolns account at any time, even while https://weatherforecastsolutions.wordpress.com/ still exists.

  To do so, disconnecting Jetpack from the “Site Connection” section at https://weatherforecastsolutions.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack#/dashboard then connect again when prompted to your wxforecastsolns account.

  Disconnecting, clearing cache, and reconnecting did the trick.
  WIthout doing this, it kept defaulting to the old site.

  It seemed disconnecting jetpack, clearing the cache, and reconnecting is what fixed the issue. Previously, everytime I clicked on activate jetpack, it would default to the old page.
