Which statement about my domain registration and status is true?

In the control panel it says that my domain ottawawelding.com will stop functioning on 24 January 2013, and yet in ‘My Upgrades’ it shows as active and set to renew on 6 December 2013. I’m confused. What do I need to do?

Have you also checked the Domain Mapping upgrade – you need both for your domain name to work with your blog – a whois shows your domain name registration as looking like it renewed on Dec 6, 2012

Your domain and mapping is set through to January 2014. So you are all set! You don’t have to do anything at this point.
Your control panel may show the date for expiration if you were not renewing; we recommend that users renew their upgrades a month before they expire and set auto-renew for 11 months, so that these don’t accidentally expire. So that may be where the disconnect is (the renewal is set for Dec 2013 for a January 2014 renewal; your control panel may be showing the date the registration would expire if you hadn’t taken action – you could check that again now that you’ve renewed and see if it has updated for you).
