Which theme best fits this description?

Any assistance in locating a specific theme that fits this design would be greatly appreciated:

Basically, I had a themed blog on blogger that had several different “pages” associated with it in addition to the primary feed. The hassle with those pages was that you couldn’t see multiple tagged images/posts on them – you could only update the overall page – and manually add dates or other text to signify changes/modifications.

My goal this time around is to have a central homepage (that only shows the most recent update from each several different themed “mini-blogs” – separate sections, each with their own set of posts/archives/tags/etc. Is there a theme (free or premium) that would allow a design like this (even if the homepage also features an overall set of tags that covers all the sub-pages). Or would this design concept require the creation of multiple blogs and tying them to the homepage?

I like the look of Twenty Fourteen – but I’m having trouble determining if it meets these requirements.

    Thanks for the support.

WordPress.com websites may have only a single post stream.

    O
Other than creating multiple blogs and tying them together somehow, alternatives which approximate your stated goal might include strategies that implement the use of standard category archives pages, or specially-constructed archives pages created using display posts shortcode, which may include featured images.

The forum topic how to use categories to create multiple blogs in one website might be helpful. It includes links to many of the relevant support pages.

There are several types of theme which allow for front pages that display image and title links in a “grid” pattern, or in a slider. Typically such pages display links to either posts, static pages, or projects, but not a combination of the same (The Sketch theme’s slider being an exception to this rule). However, you are in effect asking for links to dynamic category archives pages. There is no theme that I’m aware of which would create a grid of such links automatically. You could construct such a page yourself, using tables. Construction may or may not prove difficult depending upon how comfortable you are working with HTML code.

That’s odd. I don’t recall using a indent tab. Don’t even know how to do that here.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll investigate alternative layout formats for my concept.

I think using custom menus with category pages might do the trick.

    You’re welcome.

I should have mentioned custom menus, which would be necessary in the alternatives I suggested as well. Custom menu links to category pages alone will work fine. Perhaps I misunderstood your aim.
