Which theme will show comments and replies as a string beneath each post?

I’d like to see a comment and reply discussion beneath each post. I’d like people to see a conversation automatically between a reader who comments and my responses – and theirs and others’ too, if possible, like (sorry) Facebook. I use twenty ten but the comments don’t show until you click on the link. It doesn’t promote comment as much. I’d like them to be able to ask questions to which I respond or post again.

Jane, have you seen this before? If so you can scroll to the bottom of the page and see what theme that person is using. I’m not familiar with any sites where this occurs.

The only theme which currently posts comments and replies to the front page of a site is the P2 theme, which you can read about here
http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/p2/Every other theme requires that a visitor click on the Post title or Comments link to see comments and replies. You can choose to used “nested” comments rather than the default inline comments. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/comment-display-options/

Thanks Mike – I haven’t seen what I need on anyone else’s page. I’m also asking for a society where members are wanting to respond to a post and see the thread immediately, as you can in Facebook. Different people’s comments might add to the general good, as with this page, which is just what we wanted. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Jennifer. I didn’t necessarily need to show all responses on the front page, more underneath the associated post. However, this may be the best answer. Thanks for your prompt reply. Much appreciated.
