Which version of WordPress am I using in my blog?
-
There seem to be several WordPress User Manuals on line in PDF format; however, it’s somewhat confusing to know which to consult since they’re geared for different iterations of WordPress. Which iteration, e.g, 2.7, 3.3, etc., am I using? I don’t see any tab or radio button that might be linked to “version.” Can you please shed some light on what’s what?
I abandoned WordPress a few years ago when I went into the hospital. I’ve recovered quite well and would like to resume my blogging after several years’ absence. Thanks for whatever advice and help you can give me.

If you’re using a freehosted blog, you’re not using a “version”, if you’re using a self hosted install then you need to direct your question to http://wordpress.org/support

Here at WordPress.com where Staff do all upgrades we are running on the latest version of WordPress. In fact this wordpress mulituser platform is always upgraded to the latest versions of WordPress here at least one month before the upgraded versions are made avaiable to WordPress.org users.

I’m not “self-hosted,” so I suppose I’m on the WordPress multiuser platform. That being the case, what is the current version, is there a downloadable user manual available for it, and, if so, where do I go to get it? Thanks.

The current version is: WordPress.com. It doesn’t have version numbers as far as I know.
Is there a downloadable user manual available for it? I suppose you could buy WordPress for Dummies, but it’s mostly for WP.org instead. There is, online, http://learn.wordpress.com, not to mention numerous instructional blogs like http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com and http://wpbtips.wordpress.com
