Which version of WordPress is the one I need

I have an existing web site I need to modify but my old web site software is obsolete (from Windows 7). All I need is the ability to publish information which will be static and do a secure contact form. I already have my domain site and am happy with the people who manage it.

On WordPress.com you can create the site yourself and, when creating one, you’ll be using the most recent version of WordPress and we’ll take care of its updates for you.
