Which WordPress format do I need for what I am trying to accomplish?

I need to create a new site for my event. I own the domain name (thestrawberryswing.org) through GoDaddy. I have found a custom template I want to use from creativemarket.com. How do I need to proceed on WordPress to create what I need?
Step by step would be super helpful.

Well, you have something to consider before we go too in-depth with instructions.
You mention that you found a custom template that you want to use. We do not allow users to upload themes that they purchase from elsewhere, for security reasons. We have a gallery of themes that are available to our users and they can be seen here: http://theme.wordpress.com/
If you wish to use WordPress.com, you’ll have to decide on one of these themes. If you are insistent on using the theme that you found on Creative Market, then you would have to install WordPress on your own server and install WordPress yourself.
