    When looking at the Business vs e-Commerce plans, my question centers around whether or not I will have to use an e-Commerce plugin with the e-Commerce plan?

    Hi there,

    The eCommerce plan and Business plan are essentially the same – both will allow you to install plugins and third party themes on a WordPress.com site.

    What makes eCommerce different is that it comes with the WooCommerce plugin, the Storefront theme, and a number of free and premium add-ons for both of those pre-installed.

    If you’re not going to use WooCommerce, or don’t want the other add-ons included in that plan, there is no reason for you to pay almost double the amount for the eCommerce plan – in that case the Business Plan will be more than enough.
