Which WP option

  I have my own domain and it is hosted. I’ll be installing thrive themese. What is the lowest cost WP option for me? Thanks. Richard

  Hi Richard,

  You’re posting in the forums for the hosting provider, WordPress.com. We’re not the same thing as the open source WordPress software made over on WordPress.org.

  If you already have hosting somewhere else, you’ll be using that software, in which case you don’t need to buy any paid plan on WordPress.com. Rather, you’ll be installing the WordPress software directly on your server, and connecting your domain there. If that’s what you’re after, please contact your existing hosting provider directly for help with this process on their end.

  If you want to host your site here with us on WordPress.com, you can connect you domain using any of our paid plans. But in order to use a third party theme, you’ll need to be on our Business Plan at $300 a year.
