While editing a post/page, a notice pops up saying I am not authorized to edit

  While I am in the middle of editing a new post or page, a red banner at the top of the page will continually pop up, stating that I am not authorized to edit my own post/page. I reload the page, have to restart my edits from when the banner popped up, and then continue. A moment later, the banner will pop up again, and repeat. I have to do this several times while editing. How do I get it to consistently recognize that I am the editor?
