White box

On my “News” page, which has all my new blogs for my website, there is a big white box that appears on the page and I can’t make it disappear, and I can’t edit it.

There’s also a post on the same page “Daniel and the Sun Sword will be published by Ellechor eBooks and Co. in November 2014. Until then, learn more about the characters and storyline while exploring the ruins.” But I can’t edit it.

    Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The white box is the placeholder for the unique slideshow of the theme. You populate it by uploading images via the Add Media tool of the posts that show on your posts page. You disable it in Appearance > Theme Options.
The text you say you can’t edit is the Welcome Message of the theme. You enable/disable/edit it in Appearance > Theme Options.

Hmmm. Well, I want the slide show on my Home page, but not on my “News” page, so I’m confused as to why it’s showing up there. Is there anyway to take it off News only?

And the slide show works on my home page, but remains the white box on my News page.

You’re confusing the WP slideshow with the ML slideshow.
The slideshow that shows on your current homepage is a WP gallery slideshow you have inserted in the page you’ve set as your blog front. The ML slideshow shows on the main posts page (in your case, “News”)”. If you don’t want that, then as I already said you go to Appearance > Theme Options and disable it.

Awesome! It worked. Thanks so much.
