Is there a way to remove this white box on the home page so we can just see the image only. As well as is there a way to only have the photos at the bottom of page in photos only and not on home, about, and contact as well.

I have the same question – using the Sela theme and want to remove the white box from the front page so only the image displays. I don’t code so need some remedial assistance (am a business analyst in my day job though, so am accustomed to dealing with developers)

It’s possible to hide the white box with some custom CSS.
To add CSS, firstly navigate to the CSS panel in the WordPress.com Customizer. Below the introductory text in the resulting editor, copy and paste the following CSS:
.front-page-content-area .with-featured-image { display: none; }Save your changes and the box will then be gone. :)

Absolutely! To see options for limiting a widget’s visibility to a certain page: Navigate to the Widgets panel in the Customizer, click on a specific widget to expand its settings, and then select the Visibility button.

@loispetren: The CSS that I provided to @pawsitivelyheavendogspa will hide the white box on Sela’s front page. It’s worth noting that the option of adding CSS is included as part of WordPress.com Premium or Business.
