white label wordpress?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi all,
I would like to offer cheap websites to people. WordPress seems great for quickly creating good quality (clean, accessible and search engine friendly) websites. I would like to have the ability for my customers to be able to log into the dashboard to add, edit and delete pages – but thats it, not to be able to do anything else. Ive read a bit about roles, but not sure if this will be able to restrict them to just be able to add/edit/delete pages. Ideally Ild like to white label wordpress although not sure if this is agianst worpress’s T&Cs. Im not too concerned about the white label issue. Does anyone else offer wordpress websites as a budget solution for customers?
Thanks for any suggestions or comments

yes, i know its free, but I want to be able to charge for this (a nominal amount for setting up each wordpress site). i have a few clients who are technophobes. they are not interested in creating accounts, installing anything or setting anything up. they just want a uesrname/password and a ‘click here to add page’, anything more and theyre lost. so I want a solution which allows my clients minimal access to add/edit/delete pages – thats it. has anyone provided this for their clients or has any suggestions?

  • I think you’re in the wrong place – this is the support forum for WordPress.com users. You should take a look at wordpress.org and mu.wordpress.org.
