White screen at wordpress.com site

  • Unknown's avatar

i have a wordpress.com site and have had the white screen for going on four days now. I cant get any hep with this despite having started threads, sending my comments out and not really knowing where they end up. I hope that if someone responds, that I will be able to make it back to see the comments.

because I have wordpress.com, and not .org, I assume that I cannot install plugins. That being the case, many of the fixes for white screen involve remving or adding plug ins, so how, can I do that if I am not able to do it??

How do I check an error log to see what is causing the problem?

    My site is wwwitaliansisters.wordpress.com

    or http://www.italiansisters.com

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

you seem to be framing in your WordPress.COM site into http://www.italiansisters.com/ – that is not something we help with –

you have domain mapping for your WordPress.COM site but the name severs are not pointing here –

    Non-WordPress.com Nameservers

Although italiansisters.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.

To learn about how to correctly map an existing domain, please see our documentation. If you’re not sure whether you own this domain or not, the WHOIS database record may help you out.

If you want to use the domain mapping you need to change the name servers back to here.

If you want to frame your site into your Yahoo site – we can’t help –

I have flagged this for staff attention if you have more questions

  • Hi there,

As @auxclass already said, your domain’s name servers must be set to WordPress.com for it to work correctly with your WordPress.com site.

If you’ve set up your site to display in an iframe, you will need to contact yahoo who is currently hosting the domain to help you fix any problems with that, as we don’t have access to your Yahoo account to help with this.
