Whitelist Audiomack Embeds
-
I run themusicstash.com and there have been plenty of times where I haven’t been able to post a song because I can’t embed Audiomack. I would love to have audiomack on wordpress.com blogs

sacboyee.com could mos definitely use the audiomack embed..missing out on alot of good music!
-
I run RuptureSpot.com a Hip-Hop website. I NEED a audiomack wordpress embed code. PLEASE MAKE THIS POSSIBLE WP

I have the same problem as many above dealing with the audiomack plugin being available for wordpress.org and not wordpress.com. Which I’ve noticed this isn’t the only issue where the wordpress.org and .com site differ within features. If we can tackle this issue with audiomack first no problem, and some of the other issues later on maybe.

Hello wordpress community, Dave here from Audiomack. Let me know if you need any information from us in order to help get Audiomack whitelisted for wordpress.com. This is the number one requested feature for our platform. Our platform is used by over 20,000 artists and blogs to share music and we would love to be a part of the WordPress.com community.

I Use Audio Mack Myself And There Awesome I Have No Trouble Embedding Players Into My Posts If You Need A Reliable player Audio Mack Is It Thanks.

@djfresh2def036 How did you get Audiomack embeds to work on your wordpress.com hosted site?
-
Co-sign all of this….run a music blog called HipToTheGame.com and it is ridiculous that AudioMack is not being given the same attention as Soundcloud, Bandcamp, etc….not having the ability to embed songs from AudioMack is absurd and really should be addressed by the WordPress employees. It would be much appreciated.

Dave – any feedback on when WP.com will enable Audiomack embeds happen on the platform? I’m with the other folks, we’re missing alot of opportunity in promoting artist because some no longer use Bandcamp or Soundcloud to promote their music. Let us know!
I run STERYO.com.

I wish I had more to report but we have not heard from wordpress on this subject. I’m glad to hear you like Audiomack. Its tough on our business to get blocked by wordpress but hopefully we can come to a resolution soon. I will report any updates on this thread if and when I hear from them.

I run a blog on wordpress.com that features new music and not being able to embed from audiomack is real hindrance. Definitely would love to see wordpress.com get an audiomack plugin.

@dmacli Thanks you for getting in touch with us.
We receive many requests every week to add support for new services, oembed endpoints, and embed codes. We have already integrated the features our publishers most often demand, but we are always open to new and interesting content and services not already on our radar.
If you could provide us with a few stats, we can better evaluate working together:
How many active monthly users does your service have?
How many self-hosted WordPress sites currently embed your service?
How many downloads does your WordPress.org plugin have?It will also be easier for us to integrate if your service supports oembed.
And for a bit more info, check out http://developer.wordpress.com/docs/embedding-on-wordpress-com/.

@kardotim
Thanks for your reply.
Audiomack has grown extremely quickly and the website has over 3 million unique visitors each month and over 18,000 active accounts uploading and sharing music.
You can see our 3rd party verified traffic here: https://www.quantcast.com/audiomack.com
There are over 4,000 websites who have embedded our player to date, although it is very difficult to tell which of those are on self-hosted wordpress. If there is a way to tell please let me know and I will do further research. I do know that large sites such as Billboard, PerezHilton, Complex.com, Pitchfork, Cosmopolitan, and Hot97 have used our embedded player.
Our plugin for wordpress.org has been downloaded 2,452 times to date – https://wordpress.org/plugins/audiomack/
I am currently speaking to my development team about oembed support. We are happy to do this if it helps move things forward.

Thanks, I’ve passed it to our developers.
There isn’t a high priority for adding new services right now unless there is a high demand from users however. If/when we get to this, having oembed will make it very easy.
I’ll close this thread for now, don’t hesitate to contact us by e-mail if you have any questions or need help setting up oembed.
