Whitelist the new Desk app Please?

I’m trying to directly connect with the WordPress.com team so they can ‘WHITELIST’ the new Desk App for me so I can use it to continue publishing posts.

I do not understand exactly which app you are referring to http://en.support.wordpress.com/apps/ Please expand and provide lots of descriptive details and URLs if appropriate and/or click the link for the appropriate support forum found in the support doc I linked to above. -

not a problem. the instructions were to connect to WordPress.com. the whitelisting issue seems to be on an individual basis (hence the new thread). and since there wasn’t a support email, it seems like the forums was the only way to do this.

thanks. I’m assuming there will be more posts like these until the WP addresses it. the only reason I knew about the other post is because I actually searched for the key terms “whitelist” and “desk”.

We are still reviewing the Desk app and so have not been able to whitelist it quite yet. As soon as I have any additional information regarding whitelisting the application I will let you know!

It looks like you are still chatting with Peter via email regarding the manner in which your app connects to WordPress.com. The last email we received from you was about 2 days ago saying that you would look in to Peter’s suggestion and we haven’t heard anything since.

Looks like this is still in process. Please update this thread when the issue gets resolved. John’s Desk.pm has obviously achieved critical mass (justifiably so), so there will soon be exponentially more of us looking for WP to whitelist it. Those of us not on the emails you’re referring to don’t want to get left out.

I’m having the same issue that others are describing with the Desk App. Is it possible to whitelist for individual accounts?

Hi everyone,
We do not need to whitelist accounts. In the ticket with the developer here’s what one user did to connect:
I went back into my Desk App this morning and found that by specifying https in my blog URL, I was able to link it up just fine, including 2FA that I already have in place.
Can you all please try doing that to connect Desk to your WordPress.com accounts?
