It’s possible that something to do with your local ISP is stopping your friends from accessing your page.
Maybe have your friends try and access your site via a proxy server like –
Finally, this could also be a temporary DNS/routing issue with your ISP that will sort itself out soon.
Either way, rest assured that your WordPress.com blog is fine! Nothing is wrong with it, and it will be waiting for you and your friends when your local Internet issue is sorted out and you return. :)

There is no reason people all over the world should have trouble accessing it, because I opened it just fine. Could you please tell us what URL you are giving your friends and family again?

There have been problems from time to time accessing WordPress.COM blogs from Russia – been a while however since anyone has reported a problem.
The Russian govt. did not like a couple of the blogs here so blocked everything for a while

But why some people in Australia, or Brazil can’t open it either, while those who in America or Canada can?

I am in Canada. If you’re behind some internet censorship service some folks being blocked by the Chinese government have a workaround using a VPN or proxy to access WordPress.com blogs. The following links provide some options:
