who deleted the text from my latest post.

ok, community, i posted a somewhat lengthy submission a few hours ago. the text was disappeared from the post. no way to retrieve it, and there is no list of revisions as the “support” (sic) recommends using. so, community, where did my post go, and how do i get it back. and why is there no way to reach accountable staff without wasting my time trolling a public community forum when the question is not one that anyone else can answer? wasted too much time with this company already i believe.
and no, i didn’t accidentally erase the text. google didn’t cache the entry, as it had just been posted less than two hours previous, but the first sentences appear. the deletion occurred while i was not logged in to the site

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Unfortunately as you can see from the tag in the forum https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/missing-post it is a far from uncommon issue. I suggest, if you make long posts, NEVER use the New Post button on the grey admin bar and if you really want to be safe, subscribe to your own blog via email AND use an offline blog editor like Windows Live Writer.

well the combination of frequent disappearance of content and no staff support makes it look like wordpress is a waste of time to use. i posted using the dashboard, and it claimed it was autosaving frequently. went to go add a sentence, and all that was left was the heading. silly me, i thought perhaps the script here functioned, looks like i was wrong.

it wasn’t a problem posting – the text posted and was there to view for a short time. then all that was left was the title. it was there long enough for the beginning of the post to show up in google search and on facebook. then it was eaten, about half hour after being posted. thank you for the response , i wasn’t aware this was such an unreliable website.

You don’t need to tell me how the bug works. Unfortunately all of the volunteers have become all too familiar with the bug.

yes, that is unfortunate. good luck and thank you.

Likewise. I wonder what it will take before staff fix this.
