Who do I contact with a billing question?
-
We recently discovered that our domain name expired for this blog. I would like to possibly inquire about getting the late fee removed due to some extenuating circumstances. I would like to know who I should contact to discuss this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I flagged this for staff, but I very much doubt you will succeed, as the late fee is not levied by WordPress.com but by the domain registrar.
-
It’s important to know that WordPress.COM does not set the redemption fee. The registrar can set whatever fee they want and WordPress.com cannot waive that fee because they do not set it.
-
Okay. So let’s forget about the late fee. It can be paid. I have our credit card and I want to pay it, but as far as I can tell, there is no way to make the purchase. Any thoughts on that y’all?

raincoaster tagged this thread for Staff. You will have to be patient while waiting for their help.

Thanks timethief. I figured as much. I just wanted to amend the question so they answer the new one.

I am not seeing any active or expired domain upgrade being owned by the user account you are posting from.
Could there be another account that you used to purchase this domain? What is the domain in question?
-
Hi rootjosh,
The account used to purchase the update was tqazi. That account belongs to a person who no longer works for us. That’s why the domain expired without my knowledge.

You are going to need to gain access to that account in order to renew the domain.
If you do not know the login information for a WordPress.com account, your best bet is to try the account recovery process here:

Due to the private nature of information required for account recovery and the public nature of these forums, we cannot help with account recovery here.
