Hi there, Your domain registration and mapping for writeontheedgeyuma.com are in good status here at WordPress.com. Was the note from Domain Registry Services referring to the same domain?
You can view your domain status in your site’s Dashboard by clicking Store → My Upgrades. All upgrade expiration dates can be viewed there.
If you’re concerned about that note, you can forward it to support@wordpress.com and we can take a look. Just make certain to reference this ticket number (#489595-f) in your subject line.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much.

It most certainly was and I will see if I can scan the note and send it to you. I have looked at our status and know it is fine with wordpress.

It was a snail mail notice? This is strange in itself, as most internet business is performed on the internet, not on paper. Could you please give me the URL, phone number, and/or email address listed on the note?
You may want to look into making your domain information private so nobody can access your registration information online:

here is the information you requested, http://www.droa.com, 866-434-0212 and snail mail address Domain Registry Services, 2316 Delaware Avenue 3266, buffalo, New York 14216-2687.
With all the stolen credit card number issues makes me wonder if this I what they are after. I’m glad I caught myself and didn’t send them anything. I did scan the statement hope you got it.

Chris, I did a bit of research and found the following:
http://www.gn.apc.org/support/domain-registry-america-scamI highly recommend going the private registration route to protect yourself from folks like these.
Yuck!

How I’m wondering did they get my address as I don’t think it is anywhere on the site and did I ever give it to WordPress. If so do you have a problem? How do I go private registration.

When you register a domain, you have to provide your contact information. This is an internet rule, rather than one we’ve come up with at WordPress.com. Your personal information can never be viewed here at WordPress.com. It is private, unless you publish it on your website. However, elsewhere on the internet, your contact information can be seen in conjunction with your domain name, unless you’ve made it private.
You can make your domain private with these steps:
