Who Is this person on invite list??

I am hoping that there is a direct answer to this.
How do I tell WHO is actually accepted invitation to my private blog?
I see they accepted the invite, but if they pick a username, that’s all my invite list says is their USERNAME… but I want to know WHO that is (by email )
Please tell me I can tell this, b/c otherwise the private feature is not very useful if I can’t tell who is accessing my private blog!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Thanks but still confused.
    1. What’s difference between blog subscriber and email subscriber??
    2. I am talking about using the invite VIEWERS feature to a private blog (invite a new user as viewer only)… so with that in mind, the links you sent STILL do not say what the original email address the invite was sent to… I NEED to know this, b/c once they get a WP Account and pick username, I can’t tell who they are!
    thanks in advance

The main problem as I see is that the user admin does not let you see Viewers the same way it does other users.. .this is pretty frustrating and user friendly.
If I can see a list of users and their email addresses (author, contributor types)… why can’t I just see the same for viewers who I invited to my Private blog?

in above post I mean to say it is NOT USER friendly that we can’t see our Viewer roles information (specifically the email we sent invite to) the same way we do other roles.

roger that… just wanted to be specific to issue thanks!

Each time you publish new content on your blog, your followers receive an update, either on their Read Blogs page or via email (or both, depending on their settings). Thanks for the clarity. I do understand what your issue is and I’m sure Staff will assist with it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-view-your-private-blog

Also please add to this request, that I need to know how to remove access to a user that is in the viewer role, how do I remove their access to my private blog? Deleting the invite DOES NOT remove access.

This viewer role is great in concept (The fact that they can read and comment on a private blog, is perfect in concept) , but it should be exactly like the other roles in how it behaves and is administered!

the other roles are easy and logical to administer, viewer role should be no different.
I should be able to view my viewers by email I invited them with, and have a way of deleting their access to my private blog.
    thanks in advance

    Hi bahman27,

You can view your “Viewers” and delete them by going to your Dashboard under Settings > Reading.

    See the explanation at http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#viewing-and-removing-viewers-from-a-private-blog

Jackie. that is good to know! Previously I was told you remove a “Viewer” by deleting their invite… I knew there was more to it… thank you!

It still does not resolve the fact that once you invite a viewer, and they pick a wp.com username, you can no longer see who they actually are via their email address… this is really important to my client, but I understand for privacy/security it is not allowed.

    Hi bahman27,

    Glad to help out!

And yes, we try to protect users’ email addresses wherever possible for exactly the reasons you mention. I hope your client will be as understanding as you are. :)
