who owns the blog "gastropod"?

  I would like to use gastropod.wordpess.com
  When I go there, there is a “hello world” message. It looks like no one is using it. How can I find out who it belongs to?

  There is no rule that anyone who registers a blog must use it and Staff do not take back unused blogs from their owners, nor will they violate the privacy policy by providing your with an email address for the blog owner.
