Who shares my post links on Facebook?

  I have a Facebook share button on my post, and other people share my link on Facebook. (I´ve got no problem with that :)

  But is there any way I can know who shared my blog link on Facebook and where? (The referral only says ‘facebook.com’, not the link to the profile that people came in from neither where.)

  This is a privacy issue. Unless you are their “friend” on FB and signed in, the link will not take you to the page where it’s linked; it will take you to the Facebook home page.

  I’m sorry to bring back an old thread, but I’m a bit confused about my share stats (I’m a new blogger).

  I have three shares appearing on my stats; I don’t think they were there yesterday. All go to FB. Each is for a different post, but they just seem so unlikely – I am really puzzled as to why anyone would share my “about” post on Facebook, or, even more oddly, my first ever post on the blog, which was really just a “nothing” post without much to interest anyone. Each has apparently been shared, though – and not when they first appeared and there was nothing else to see, but more recently, if the appearance of the stats within the past 36 hours or so is an accurate reflection.

  Could I please ask, TT, which link you refer to in the post above? Because I can’t even find a link from my “shares” stats info to Facebook’s main page, let alone to the page where the post has been shared. If I can identify the link you are referring to, I can at least take a look at it in case it does happen to show me anything enlightening about who did the sharing.

  I did also wonder if there was any chance there could be some sort of error here – it just does seem so vanishingly unlikely that anyone would bother to share that first post.

  Not to worry. Hopefully she’ll spot this at some stage. I’m in no big rush, just want to learn :)
